Proof that there’s money in regional geo domain names – even if the region hasn’t existed in political terms for over a thousand years.

Domain Journal is reporting today that Wessex.com was snapped up at NameJet for $2,000 last week.

The term ‘Wessex’ is still used by plenty of organisations.  Google returns over 9 million search results for it.

The Google Adwords Tool shows 6,600 global exacts searches per month at the time of writing.
